is a high fidelity MP3 audio encoder and decoder with integrated CD player and CD audio extractor.
Favoring audio quality over encoding speed, the program skips no sound filters. It subsequently delivers the highest quality MPEG Layer 1, 2 and 3 encoding from Windows PCM WAV files (44KHz, 16bit Stereo) or direct CDA tracks. A built-in decoder is also provided to convert MPEG Layer 1, 2 and 3 audio files to Windows PCM WAV format. Bit rates from 16Kbs to 320Kbs are supported.
After reading raw audio data from a CD, Ultimate Encoder 2000 Lite can save intermediate WAV files, or encode the extracted audio straight to MPEG format. Support is included for a wide range of CD-ROM drives (IDE, EIDE and SCSI).
Additional features include: ID3 tag support; shell integration for encoding WAV files via the Windows Explorer context menu; and "Grab Intro," which creates sample MP3 files from CD-Audio tracks.
