A closer look at Fyrad
Connect Four is a two player game played on a 7 x 6 rectangular board. Both players alternately place their colored piece (red or yellow) into one of the positions on the board. The goal is to get four pieces in a row. All directions count (horizontal, vertical and diagonal). The first player to connect four pieces in a row is the winner. Fyrad lets you play against a friend or a computer opponent., or watch a computer game.
The algorithm used in Fyrad is a bit different than other Connect Four algorithms. In Fyrad the computer randomly chooses from six different playing strategies, which makes the game less predictable and therefore more challenging.
