The object of the game is for the home team to score more points than the visiting team, while completing a mathematics test. As you take the test, each question answered correctly results in a color animation of a successful goal shot and an increase in the home team's score. The animation shows a player dribbling down the court and taking a variety of shots based on the complexity of the question. Shots include: layups, hook shots, reverse dunk, three-pointers, and backboard smashing. With each incorrect answer given, the correct answer is displayed and an animation shows a missed basket. The visiting team then scores.
BasketMath includes a diagnostic reporting capability that can help you identify and practice those areas in mathematics needing learning or review.
BasketMath - Junior-High/High School Version is based on the New York State Mathematics Regents Competency Test and the Cooperative Admissions Test for grades 7 to 10.
