The program is unusual in that there are no restrictions on where "things" go. Text can be moved a pixel at a time both horizontally and vertically, and characters can be placed on top of each other.

The printed output uses the generated metafile which results in high quality prints, and you can save your work to a file, and store frequently used equations in the program's MacroText window.

You can also insert images (BMPs and JPGs); export your documents as metafiles; and perform basic vector drawing functions, such as dimensioning (cut, copy, and paste of shapes), stretching, moving, and more.

In addition, Function Junction uses true type fonts, and a custom panel that allows regularly used characters to be placed on the desktop for easy access.
