You can monitor an application when it is being executed to identify all the files and system entries being accessed, generate and combine reports to produce a complete profile defining the software environment required for a given application to run successfully, and debug an application by identifying differences between the software profile and the current PC configuration.
PCXRAY also enables the correction of individual system entries, the tracking of specific values to identify if they have been changed as the result of subsequent installations of other applications, and the detection of multiple versions of the same DLLs, and provides the infrastructure for a central repository of Windows Installer application scripts.
