It links your spreadsheet directly to a built-in general ledger. With Account! you can post journals and retrieve data directly from your spreadsheet. You can combine the flexibility of a spreadsheet with the rigor of double entry bookkeeping.
Account! can be used for bookkeeping, forecasts, budgets, adjustments, management information, reporting, control and personal finance. Because it is spreadsheet based it can be customized to your needs. Account! comes with spreadsheet templates for small business accounting.
Features of Account! include: advanced posting logic that allows you to post transactions directly into the ledger; the ability to report account balances and movements and update them in real time; the ability to extract transactions from the ledger into your spreadsheet; advanced date logic that allows you to post transactions on the correct date and report them for any date; meaningful account numbers, since account numbers can be numbers or text; the ability to close monthly periods when you want or leave them open for as long as you like; and multiple ledger support that allows you to combine information from several ledgers in the same spreadsheets.
Account! comes with over 40 Visual Basic functions that give you the ability to automate your analysis and build a financial system that exactly meets your needs. You can also selectively control recalculation, and switch off Parallel Account's calculations while you develop your spreadsheet or input your data.
