DPBOX is a multi protocol and multi user BBS. In the delivered version it handles up to 200 simultaneous users. For stored messages there is a limit of 32767*32767 messages over all. Storing 30.000 messages or more is absolutely usual with DPBOX.
DPBOX supports compressed forward as proposed by f6fbb and his great FBB BBS. Extensions were provided to make forward still more efficient. This includes, among others, binary transparent message delivery in full 8 bit mode and extended CRC checksum protection.
DPBOX/Linux is only a part of a large packet radio environment for Linux. It takes advantage of the connect abilities of the TNT terminal program of DL4YBG, which itself uses different protocols to connect to the outside packet net.
