is an in-depth but entertaining turn-based strategy game that lets you run for the U.S. Presidency.You can run against up to three other computer or human opponents, who will take you to task for your stand on important issues and make you think seriously about the political process as well.
The nicely detailed player setup screen lets you choose already established presidential contenders (such as George Bush and Al Gore), or you can create your own candidate (and running mate) and build the candidate's platform.
Gameplay is divided into turns, each turn displaying the current newspaper headlines, and then a strategy screen where you can meet with advisors, check a color-coded U.S. map to see who's ahead, straighten out your finances, or craft blistering speeches dragging your opponents through the mud. The culminating point is the election itself, where the candidate who garners the most electoral votes is declared the winner.
The demo, which restricts candidate and platform editing (and lists Wilt Chamberlain as a default running mate), is well worth your time and attention
