Join your skills with your partner's to face off against your AI adversaries. Bid carefully, and no sandbagging! WildTangent Spades is played with four players - you, and three computer generated players. You're partnered with the player directly across the table from you. Spades is played with a 52-card deck, aces high. The object of the game is to win a number of tricks matching your bid.
Each hand begins with bidding. The object of the bid is to predict how many tricks your team will take. Once play begins, play proceeds clockwise, with each player attempting to play a card of the same suit as the card that was led. If the trick contains a spade, then the player who played the highest spade wins. Otherwise, the player who played the highest card of the trick's suit wins the trick. The winner of the trick leads the next trick with the card of their choice. Scoring is based on the number of tricks actually take by a team versus that team's bid. If a team meets or exceeds its bid, they score 10 times their bid plus one point for each trick over the bid . If a team does not meet its bid, they are penalized 10 times their bid. When one team reaches 500 points, the game is over.
