Sub Culture Description:
is an action/adventure game that takes place in a stunning 3D underwater world where scheming pirates, giant sea creatures, and warring factions threaten the very existence of your miniature civilization. As one of the little guys within the confines of your submarine, you must struggle to survive in the peril-fraught shallows. You share these volatile waterways with hostile clans (the Bohine, the Procha and the Pirates), whose age-old differences have exploded into an embittered and bloodthirsty civil war.
Sub Culture features an original and futuristic storyline, intricately woven into its complex non-linear gameplay. Participate in various expeditions throughout the game, which range from pearl seeking and the rescue of captured hostages, to saving a city station under a mutant fish attack.
You can customize your sub with a variety of weird and wonderful weapons, tools and machinery items (such as missile launchers, strobes, flares, an escape capsule, the Suck-O-Matic, an Electro-bolt, and more). You can engage in Sub Culture's trading market for money, machinery, tools, weapons, and commodities. Depending on the economy at any given point in the game, prices may fluctuate and different tribes and trading posts may have better prices available.
Sub Culture features a free-form 3D world which is constantly changing, stunning aquatic life (including stingrays, turtles, giant eels, jelly fish, mutant fish and sea horses), a variety of natural dangers (including an abyss, pipe networks, deep and winding caves and treacherous trenches), real-time lighting effects, atmospheric 3D sound effects, original music, and more.
Note: To install Sub Culture, extract all the files to a subdirectory and run the appropriate EXE file (you can choose the Windows 95 version, or a version optimised for your accelerator card).
