helps you intelligently manage information, no matter where you obtain it from. News stories, magazine articles, Web pages, e-mail, meeting notes, phone conversations, ideas, etc. can be quickly gathered, noted, and organized for easy retrieval. The interface is an office metaphor, with a desk and inbasket, file cabinets and shelves with books. You store your data in 3-D space. You can name the books and drawers or create folders within them. Use drag-and-drop to import files into Knowledge Vision or create documents within it. Each document is time-stamped and you can give it one of more that a dozen document types (note, todo, magazine, email, etc.). Since you organize your own "electronic office" you'll become familiar with where things are (such as "the phone book is in the desk drawer" or "the latest proposal is on the top shelf in the red binder"). You can even store the same document in multiple places, making the information available everywhere it has relevance.
It also includes an Auto-Clip feature. Turn Auto-Clip on and anything placed in the Clipboard gets imported as a new document. Knowledge Vision is "Internet Browser Aware". Keep it running as you surf the Internet and any URL "autoclipped" in becomes a document that Knowledge Vision recognizes as a web address. Opening the document from a book or folder automatically programs your Web browser to go to that Web page.
When you're ready to retrieve, go straight to the appropriate book or use one of the search methods, which include full-text search, a key word search and a timeline which allows you to view documents in a calendar-like view.
