is an assembler for Motorola 6800, 6801, 6802, and 6803 microprocessors. It reads input from an ASCII text file, assembles this into memory, and then writes a listing and a binary or hex file.
Features of AS02 include: fast two-pass assembly; support for binary, s-records or intel-hex output file formats; optional generation of a debug information file; three segments (code, data, bss) for ROM-based programs; a 'struct' keyword for easy declarations; an instruction cycle count in the listing; full conditional assembly with CPU identifying defines; C-style expressions; support for long file names when running in a Windows DOS box; and full macro capability.
It accepts 6801and 6803 instruction set extensions to the Motorola 6800 and 6802. This can be enabled from the commandline using -x option.
AS02 runs under MS-DOS 3.x+ or compatible systems.
