In Rail Empires: Iron Dragon, you enlist humans, trolls, and elves to link the cities and resource sites of both the real world and the underworld with a rail line that can be much more than it seems. Iron and dragons power these trains, and unforeseen events can derail the best of plans.

Game play is on a well-illustrated hex board and you choose workers and contracts from a card drawing.

Up to six players can join the game or you can match wits with the computer's AI bot.

The graphics are interesting and the complex scenario will challenge avid board game fans, but the menu-driven documentation isn't easily searched and you may find some difficulty in figuring out how to move and what strategies work best.
