is a complete, true-to-life baseball game.
For those of you who want to just jump in and swing the bat, the easy-access startup screen provides you with quick access to pure arcade play, exhibition play, batting practice, and in-depth league management.
Arcade Play is the easiest way to jump into the game and start playing. Select your home and away teams and then--batter up! You can customize the difficulty levels for batting, running and fielding in the exhibition games, and for the hitting in batting practice. The Easy option increases the virtual size of the bat, slows down the pitch, and increases the virtual size of the glove. The Normal option sets them all to the major league levels. Customizing allows you to set levels between easy and normal for each action.
Front Page Sports: Baseball Pro '98 also features ten all new pre-set camera angles for easy viewing; a VCR feature to review plays; FastSim mode that lets you play a full season in a third of the time; full statistics; 28 major league ball parks; three fielding aid options (SmartMove, SmartThrow, and IntelliPoint graphics); short, half, and full season schedules; original music; stereo sound effects, hecklers and crowd cheering; and more.
This demo has the player moves rendered to only 4 angles of animation, which makes the motions a bit choppy, but completely playable.
