You can use SettSaver, for example, after a Windows or an application reinstallation, if all previous settings were lost.

The program not only saves your Windows settings but also the files associated with BMPs, screen savers, mouse cursors, and sound events. You can even add your own files, folders, or Registry keys to the backup.

In addition, you can copy the settings to another computer, or to a different Windows platform (for example, from Windows 98 to NT and vice versa).
